Welcome to Book Haat Books & Stationery (“Book Haat”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By accessing our website, placing an order, or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

These Terms apply to all users, customers, and transactions conducted through our website or any of our official sales channels.

2. Products & Services

We sell books and stationery items for educational, professional, and personal use.
Product descriptions, images, and prices are provided as accurately as possible; minor variations in colour, edition, or packaging may occur.
Product availability is subject to stock. We reserve the right to cancel any order if an item is unavailable or discontinued.

3. Pricing & Payments

All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Accepted payment methods include:
- UPI
- Net Banking
- Credit / Debit Cards
- Wallets
- Cash on Delivery (COD)
Payments are processed through secure, RBI-compliant payment gateways.
For COD orders, additional handling charges may apply and will be shown at checkout.

4. Shipping & Delivery

Orders are generally processed within 1–2 business days (excluding Sundays and public holidays).
Estimated delivery time is 4–7 business days, depending on the delivery location.
Shipping charges displayed at checkout:
- Prepaid Orders: Free or ₹19–₹49 (based on zone / PIN code)
- COD Orders: ₹19–₹49 (based on zone / PIN code)

Delivery timelines are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by courier partners, natural events, strikes, or circumstances beyond our control. However, we will assist customers in resolving delivery issues.

5. Returns & Refunds

Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery only for damaged, defective, or incorrect items.
Returned items must be unused and in original condition unless damaged during transit.
Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after return approval:
- Prepaid orders: refunded to the original payment method
- COD orders: refunded via UPI or bank transfer
Opened or used books, stationery items, and clearance/final sale products are non-returnable.

6. Order Cancellation

Orders can be cancelled before dispatch by contacting our support team.
Once an order has been shipped, cancellation is not possible.
For prepaid orders cancelled before dispatch, a full refund will be issued.

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers must provide accurate and complete information, including name, address, and contact details.
We are not responsible for delivery failures caused by incorrect or incomplete information.
Customers should review product details carefully before placing an order.

8. Limitation of Liability

Book Haat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services. Our maximum liability shall be limited to the value of the order placed.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including logos, images, text, graphics, and design, is the intellectual property of Book Haat. Unauthorised copying, reproduction, or use of any content without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ambedkarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
